We purchase new mill ends that have been rejected as first quality. We then run them through our cutting department where they are cut into wiping cloths per our standards. They then go thru our “State of the Art” laundry system. We operate a 16 chamber (100# capacity each) tunnel washer.
| 1. The operator loads 100 pounds of wipers into a bag. (Note: this is the last time they are touched by human hands until they are ready to package.) |
| 2. The operator then plugs a code into the computer which designates the formula needed to meet our “PFA” standards based on the type of cloth being processed. |
| 3. The bag then is automatically raised to an overhead rail system which guides it to the first chamber of the tunnel. |
| 4. The bottom of the bag opens and the wipers are then dumped into the first chamber. |
| 5. Each chamber is preprogrammed to temperature, time and chemical input. |
| 6. The wipers travel through all 16 compartments which includes the “PFA” processing and final rinsing. |
| 7. The last compartment is then dumped into a press where the wipers have a majority of the water pressed out of them which helps speed up the drying process. |
| 8. They are then extracted from the press and automatically loaded onto a conveyor which holds four total chambers of wipers. |
| 9. The conveyor then automatically transfers the wipers to any of three available dryers. |
| 10. The wipers are dried and automatically dumped into a cart for final packaging. |
Our “PFA” process is unique to the industry. We use an excess of 200 degree temperatures to breakdown the wiper so that the “PFA” formula can extract the paraffin’s in the cloth which inhibit absorbency. Paraffins are used in the knitting process at the textile mill to allow the yarn to run smoothly through the knitting machine. We loose approximately 10% of the weight of the cloth during this process. Most of our competitors wash in 140 to 160 degree temperatures and some add surfactants to their wipers which create a temporary absorbency but is lost once the wiper gets wet. We are confident that we have the most absorbent and consistent wiper in today’s marketplace.
